Speck CandyShell for iPhone 4 (Review)
The CandyShell is one of our favorite iPhone 3G/3GS cases. The iPhone 4 version takes a bit of a transformation along with the new iPhone. On the inside, the case offers the same soft rubbery interior and on the outside hard glossy plastic. New to the iPhone 4, the rubber on the inside has holes punched out of the rubber. This should help reduce weight of the overall case and we first saw this with Speck’s iPad case designs. The CandyShell comes in BatWing Black, Cotton Dandy Blue, DarkHeart Mahogany, IndiWhoa Blue, LoveHate Pink, MoonSicle White, NightShade Purple, and PaleMoon Grey (pictured). Great review, as always. I’m thinking about getting the black candy shell flip and your review of the flip seemed good too. Question, though. Why did Speck change the size of the camera opening? Is that necessary? Is that why they’re not selling the flip candy shell any more? Thanks!
this is the case i have. i got before i saw this video, but i wanted to see this review just to see what you had to day about it. this is my favorite case, it matches my phone (white) its soft on the inside (good for the phone) and hard on the outside. and the gray accents on it make it look like a great case. its also not that bulky, it would go on the ‘minimal cases’ category.

My friend has an iphone 4 with a speck pixel skin HD and he poured water around the home button and if he squeezes the bottom of the case at the dock connector, a large part of his anti fingerprint came off with bubbles so is that interferring with the protector?
My mom bought me the the blue and pink one and I love it but I didn’t want to put it on myself because the sleep and wake button is known to pop off. But other than that the colors are bright and perfect for the summer!
Which whould you recommend? The CandyShell Flip or normal CandyShell?
